Yesterday (02/05/25) the official DayZ Twitter account posted a short teaser trailer of what looks to be a new desert map coming to PC & Console, so it simply wouldn't be right if I didn't get the old grey-matter into action and try and figure out if the new map might be based on an old one, like Sakhal was based on Arma 3's Tanoa.

In this tongue-in-cheek video I spawn in on Takistan near some Oil-Drilling Rigs, like in the teaser, and we also take a look at a desert town and take a helicopter tour across the map.

Takistan was released as part of the Arma 2 "British Forces" dlc over twn years ago, but it still looks pretty good!
