Welcome to STASIS, an isometric point-and-click horror game that looks like the best parts of Sanitarium, SOMA, and Dead Space got mixed together. John awakens on an unknown ship, at an unknown time, and must sort out what’s happening despite signs that everyone has been gone for a very long time. What started off as a one-off video about STASIS has turned into a full Let's Play STASIS series. That is, I began with a video showing STASIS first impressions and an introduction to STASIS gameplay (at the end I include a cursory STASIS review). The premise seems interesting enough, and the team at The Brotherhood (while small) did a fantastic job—STASIS has amazing production values. In all, I was very much be interesting in seeing more and expanding this into a full Let's Play STASIS Blind series. So I did! Welcome to Let’s Play STASIS blind. As always, I will run a STASIS blind playthrough and guide, not a speed-run.

In Episode 0 of Let’s Play STASIS, we looked at STASIS gameplay after we awaken from cryostasis and need to find medical assistance quickly. Along the way, we find that human beings are called “product” (sometimes) and that everyone seems to have disappeared a long time ago, leaving the ship covered in dust, grime, and webs. In Episode 1 of Let’s Play STASIS we (John) must figure out a way to unlock the elevator and continue exploring the ship. Episode 2 of the STASIS blind playthrough is here and we continue to explore the Groomslake. Episode 3 of the STASIS full playthrough picks up immediately after the tram we boarded last time crashes through the floor. In Episode 4 of the STASIS blind playthrough and guide we reach “The Tower” and get a better idea of just what is stalking the halls of Groomlake. We find more cadavers and desecrate a few corpses. In Episode 5 of let’s play STASIS blind we learn more about the Groomslake’s crew and glimpse some of the personal dramas that unfolded on the ship while death and terror swept through the halls. Episode 6 of the STASIS full walkthrough and guide has us working to get back to the upper level by raiding corpses and draining sewage. The STASIS game is horror, plain and simple, and I am loving every second of it! So come and join me for a STASIS blind playthrough.

That said, I enjoyed my time with the STASIS game and the STASIS gameplay. While I don’t like “scary” games (e.g., jump scares), I love good horror—whether in a movie, a book, or a game. The STASIS game, like good horror, doesn’t need to startle you with sounds or images; it just needs to keep building a sense of dread and atmosphere while letting you fill in the gaps. I hope you all enjoy the STASIS gameplay for what it is (an interesting exploration through a chilling environment). So lets play stasis!
