It Pays To Advertise | Ad Agency Tycoon (1960's Advertising Sim - Early Access)
239Ad Agency Tycoon puts us in charge of an advertising agency in the 1960s, although to begin with we're not really much of an agency and more like a bloke in a rubbish office!
We begin by doing a few simple adverts for a local liquor store. Adverts are split up into different areas; text, visual and audio. As we work we have to choose how much effort we apply to the advert in sub-sections of those areas, such as humour and appeal in our text for the advert and artistic and traditional in our visuals.
As we play we pick up feedback to help us make better adverts. It does cost a bit each time but the feedback gives us a bit of guidance as to the exact amount of effort we should put into adverts for specific customers.
The money comes in and we're able to spend it on office upgrades! We can buy pictures, lucky horseshoes, filing cabinets, plants and we can even adopt a dog! All of our items help us do things a little better so they're mostly not just cosmetic.
Eventually we're able to move into a bigger office, build specialist rooms and hire staff, who can be told to work with individual business types like candy shops, markets and realtors.
