Even when things seem dire, you play your cards right and things might just swing in your favor.
Truth be told, this match was rather tame as the brunt of the aggro was on my team and not me. At least near endgame is where the fun begins.
As I have a bit of a competitive approach to things as I like to win when I play games is the fact that killer, primarily with Banshee (with other killers on/off minus Granny ick), is that I have consistently 4k'd many, many times. Most survivors have lackluster game sense and just make poor choices or mistakes which snowball in the killer's favor really easily. The survivors falling like dominoes in this match definitely highlights it. I don't mean to belittle but good lord, is it really that hard to pick up a few strats along the way that might help you live longer?
Even in a casual sense, there are so many things to optimize for better performance or at the very least, making the match more fun and exciting:
- Make use of your sprint immediately then go into prop form so you can make use of double jumping as your stamina recharges
- Make use of doors (I see a lot of survivors ignoring them)
- Mindgame with doors, getting stuns nets you coins after all and buys more breathing room for yourself and teammates on machines
- Make use of default items (I also see a lot of default medkits not being used)
- Gimmicky as all hell but try to stun with props on occasion
- Improving the feel for when to gauge between stealth and chase
- It never hurts to stay on a machine even if a killer is nearby, make the most out of your limited time
I imagine the pendulum swings with public reception towards the strength of killer and survivor but for me personally, survivor is a lot harder in this game as you have to be way more mindful of your options compared to survivor in Dead by Daylight. This isn't a looping simulator game where you play "Ring around the Rosie" with killer with every tile loop, you have to be aware of your surroundings and what you can work with.
