Room design takes a while, so why not sometimes take rooms you like from hacks you've already made and use them again? Of course, you need to spruce them up a little so it doesn't get repetitive, and you can't do it too much, but it makes for a nice little detail for longtime hack players to see a room the recognized getting used in a new way.

In this particular instance, I reused the pre-X-Ray room from Recovery as an intermediary room for Quarry, but with several adjustments. The room design has been improved considerably, and it now extends further to the left. Also, the lighting is now based on flexglows, meaning it is not controlled by the firefleas. This allows the other enemies to glow alongside the room, making them stick out less.
