A timelapse of the construction of a Green Brinstar room for Super Metroid: Quarry. The map for Green Brinstar is based on the shapes of several of Texas' congressional districts from the 1992 and 1994 elections. Many of these districts would later be ruled an unconstitutional racial gerrymander by the Supreme Court in 1996. Nevertheless, their peculiar shapes make them perfect for mapping the viney, twisty corridors of the green jungle.

This particular room is based on a part of the 30th congressional district, which was drawn by Eddie Bernice Johnson, for Eddie Bernice Johnson. It covered sections of Irving and Grand Prairie.
