It's Time To Move On To The New Enfusion Engine - So What's Needed To Finish This DayZ Off Nicely?
This may be a little controversial, but I think it's almost time for the DayZ Devs to stop adding stuff to this version of DayZ, switch to maintenance mode where they just fix bugs, and put the rest of their resources into the next iteration of our favorite Survival game.
Before they do that though, I think they should go out with a bang, and finish the game nicely with the following additions:
- A keycard structure for Chernarus.
- The ability to lock doors on normal buildings with something like a door-lock kit, that would comprise of combining a hasp & staple, with a padlock and some nails.
- Not having to enter combinations when you're the one who set the lock.
- AI Infected that are able to bash thru and open doors, and climb onto cars, controlled by:
- An AI Infected control json file, that by Zombie type, can edit player detection sensitivity, detection range, whether the walk, run or sprint when agro'd and chasing a player, how long they stay ago for, whether they can bash open doors, whether they can climb on cars and other low structures, and a "headshot kill only" setting.
- Control json file that alters new player spawn gear, where you can have multiple load-outs for players, making death-match servers and RP servers on console so much easier. This file could also determine load-out, and spawn position coordinates by Steam or User ID, so that we could have an Admin feature on console.
"Just" implement these my friendly DayZ Devs, then crack on with DayZ 2!
Thanks, Rob.
