A man who faked an illustrious army career has been sentenced to three years in prison by a court in Peterborough. For decades John Livesey told friends, relatives and colleagues he'd been honoured for his service in the Parachute Regiment, including tours in the Falklands and Northern Ireland. In fact, his army career amounted to a three-year stint in the Catering Corps. Livesey, 57, was convicted earlier this month of perverting the course of justice.
