Jak II: Playthrough Part 19: Impressing the Ladies Against Stealthy & Sneaky Metal Heads
Returning to the Hip Hog Heaven Saloon, Daxter tries to impress Tess by regailing to her a story about how he killed a group of Metal Heads with his bare orange hands.
And surprisingly, she believes him.
Sig was also there to hear Daxter's "story", and decided to call his bluff by giving him (actually Jak), a new mission.
There are combat Metal Heads in Haven Forest that need to be taken out, but they have the special ability to turn themselves invisible, so they'll be tricky to find.
----------
That's all there really is with this mission. Kill thirty invisible Metal Heads and you're doing. You might have to squint to see their yellow glow, and they'll also be firing shots everywhere, so source those shots back to see where they came from.
Sig wasn't sure that you'd survive this mission, but he's glad that you did.
----------
At 10:45, you see me use the Jetboard to drop from the peak spot of the second Warp Gate to the bottom area where the first one is. Before I land, I dismount the Jetboard and subsequently die from falling damage.
This is because even though you were on the Jetboard, the game keep track of how far down you fell. This is cancelled out if you land WITH the Jetboard, but even if dismounting it slows your fall, the game still counts you as falling so far down and hurts you for it.
Nothing special, it's just really funny for me to discover!
----------
For the second mission featured in this video, I go to the "narrow" bazaar of the city. First, to get some more Gold Precursor Orbs through side missions, and then meet up with Ashelin. However, Ashelin was busy with investigating a shipment of Vin's eco tanker, and did not want the Dark Eco Duo to butt in on her business.
She very quickly changes her mind, however when the eco tanker crashed through the area and took out the rest of her Krimzon Guards. Turns out it was raided by Metal Heads a in sneak attack!
So like before, just take out all of the Metal Heads you see for Ashelin. Don't let her die, and don't piss her off by hitting her, yourself. Same as the Pumping Station mission!
After getting rid of all of the Metal Heads, Ashelin is worried about how much closer the Metal Heads are attacking Haven City than usual (hmmmm... just like in Haven Forest...). It was as if they were trying to see just how capable the city's defenses were at fighting them off...
