We are back at Sunnycon, this time out we had a chat with Traditional, classical Japanese multi-instrumentalist Michael Graham, who also had a panel at the event (music from this panel). The link is at the bottom of the description.
Rob and Michael talk about the process of learning how to learn these instruments and the difference between truth and historical license when these instruments, the Koto and Shamisen, feature in Japanese pop culture.
We know the interview audio is slightly out of sync, we suffered numerous technical issues on the day of recording. Hopefully, this doesn't impede your enjoyment of the video. There is no such issue on the musical pieces that bookend the interview. Enjoy.
