This Star Wars Jedi Survivor game guide video shows how to use Confusion Major Fauna skill. It's an advanced version of mind control. You'll unlock it when visiting Bilemaw Den on the planet Koboh.
Approach any big creature you encounter, quickly hold R1/RB and press Circle/B. The monster will turn green and become your temporary ally. This is a great way to eliminate or distract groups of stormtroopers and other enemies. Enemy attacks may also wound the creature so once Confusion stops working it's going to be weaker and easier to kill by Cal.
