Part 3: Genesis into the Oblivion

So, first things first, I replayed this again after finding out that the spur capsule was a scam, I have the Polar Star capsule and this one is FAR BETTER, but I have a problem with it, but, I'll talk about it more late into this box. Now, I need to replay ONCE AGAIN, because of ONE item that you can't get anymore after some time. May talk about it in the next video, first I need to waste 4 more hours into this for that, to get all the Life capsules and all the machine gun expansions.

I praised the outer areas in the Original LP, and I still like them, I like how these areas look, There's something to seeing the exterior of the Isle that I like so much. Aqueduct, This is a mixed bag of emotions, I like the expansion, but at the same time, It's frustrating, you're bound to lose TONS of Exp no matter what, and the camera is atrocius here, and the Exp thing is a problem because there's one Boss here, a reskin of Omega, It's not to hard but it can take some time due to the lesser weapon power. Speleothem, this is a good section, love the aesthetics here, my complain would be the blindness of it, mostly if you decide to skip the bone throwing enemies, because these are mandatory if you want light. Genesis, I like it, it's a neat twist on the aquatic vanilla enemy, this being a reskin of Iron Head. after that I went on a quest to find the Polar Star, this is where I ended my LP last time, after seeing how pointless the spur capsule was, then I spend 3 hours replaying everything with the polar star capsule, Now the Spur IS like the vanilla game, you know, AS IT SHOULD BE. and speaking of capsules, there are a few other capsules that, idk how you get them, the game, nor the page tells you how to get them from the vanilla game, but there are a few. Polar Star, Machine Gun, Snake and Spur. These capsules gives back what this mod took from these guns, In short, it gives back their vanilla behavior from the OG Cave Story.
Polar Star Capsule: Gives you a fast recharger (●URSA MINOR●) for the spur, this is probably the best of the 4 capsules, mostly because it gives back what the spur in this mod lacks, you know, being actually good.
Machine Gun Capsule: This one also gives you a fast recharger, namely, the ●TURBOCHARGE● from the Original Game, not the best reward, because this item could of been in this Mod in any other location, but no, it had to be in the NG+ game.
Snake Capsule: This one makes the Snake more useful, it gives you the ●HYDRA●, making the snake have infinite ammo, like in the vanilla game
Spur: You saw this one in the last video, this is the worst of them all, It gives you The ●MUNITIONS CLIP●, the stupidest item in the game, as I said in the last video, this acts like a life pot for ammo, you regenerate all your weapons ammo, ONCE, and only once, this is something the page doesn't tell you, avoid this one at all cost.
The Spur and Polar star capsules can be opened with the Hermit Gunsmith, the machine gun with Curly and the snake with Chaba, the other capsules are opened with Balrog and Jack, but those only gives a chunk of ammo.
After that I went for the arms barrier but I realized I couldn't do that yet until talking with Jack first, and I did, but stopped to replay once more, yet again, to obtain the remote controller from Malco, bebcause you only get once chance to get the remote, and that's in the first visit to the labyrinth, after that, No no. Then I went to Misery for the life pot, and I guess I'll get a second pot later, so, not too worried here. Then went for the rematch with Monster X, with the Gaudska-teers and then finally went to the main story event again. The abandoned facility is ok, not too bad and the story told in the journals is intriguing, It's sad what it went down in there. Void is just a big corridor, not as interesting as the speleothem. Oblivion is another good boss, the core with the Iron head gimmick, very good stuff.
