At this point, hopelessness was setting in, and I was getting really close to flat out googling for answers if it weren't for at least finding bits and pieces of lore stuff here and there.

Thanks to some careful direction from Slash, I finally found out that the map is more or less wrong. The colors of each core don't match the locations on the map, and the names of each temple don't match the core you get from them! It turns out that while I more or less wandered around Sitra's temple, I never actually reached the Cardinal Nexus location within.

Also, it turns out that there was way more to Imbolt than I thought - just much of the area is so dark and hard to read that I missed areas I could climb up to. Also, it turns out that I entered the area backwards thanks to some funky, exploitable geometry, and already killed the boss and acquired the core from that area. Had I entered it from the correct side, I would have noticed the dead Demiurge that the Stranger had already killed (and whose core I had already gotten).
