First of all, big shoutout to @Yumi-Mei in YT who figured out the Sanhua team for Jiyan in WhiWa and performed it much better than me. Thanks for paving the way for me, senpai! o7
Whimpering Wastes isn't exactly a new endgame mode anymore, but it's the first time I managed to have some time to showcase it. I also just managed to get my Jinhsi to S6 with the Anniversary Selector Banner, so figured it was a good moment to highlight my two favorite Dragon people in Infinite Torrents! With that said, WuWa's Skill ceiling and I'm no expert, there's a ton of room for improvement in the run, but I wanted to showcase my teams along with some nice music c:
Even with her not being that good for WhiWa, it goes without saying that S6 Jinhsi will be overkill for any endgame, but in WhiWa specifically, a lot of her Sequences don't make that much difference, since her hardest hitting moves (Enhanced Skill and Liberation) greatly overkill the mobs in each waves anyway. That's why the Plunderer token is better than the other damage boosting ones- we need more sources of constant damage rather than bigger numbers. Zhezhi's constant coordinated attacks are also very helpful. The rotation is very simple, alternating Verina Outros with Zhezhi Outros both towards Jinhsi.
Jiyan on the other hand is a strong character for WhiWa, but there's something different here: Sanhua instead of the usual Mortefi?? I wouldn't have thought of this myself, but I saw someone mentioning how Yumi figured out this was more effective for WhiWa- and sure enough (I also tested it myself), that was the case! Sanhua outperformed Mortefi by quite a lot (the difference on averages between my attempts with Mortefit and Sanhua were over 1000 pts). Similar to Jinhsi's overkill damage situation, the extra damage Mortefi brings ends up being overkill for each wave, and it's much more valuable for us to have Jiyan in the field with his Liberation more often, since he's generally wiping each wave in 1~2 Qiloongs anyway. Sanhua's ultra fast (and simple) rotation gives us this speed along with some buffs (Heron + Moonlit + her S6) that are just enough to have a strong Jiyan plow through the waves. This speed also lets us do two Jiyan + Sanhua Liberations in the time of one Shorekeeper Liberation, wasting less field time with refreshing buffs. Though my S3 Jiyan + S2 SK give me a lot of levarage room, this team can totally work with both of them at S0 and better execution as well. Ever since I started doing Whimpering Wastes, I felt like it has a very fast-paced nonstop kind of gameplay compared to the other endgames, and I knew that one of my favorite PSO2 tracks would fit this vibe just perfectly. Superluminal chase is so fast, hype and intense! It really gets the adrenaline pumping. Hope you guys enjoy it c:
Furthermore, I'd say the style of this video is inspired by Reia and Wallensteins Ch. in parts, so shoutout to them, and a large influence on this series has come from content creators like Yumi and zy0x. Thanks for being inspirations!
