We’re gonna take you on the wildest John Wick VFX ride filled with insane motorcycle crashes, Keanu Reeves learning how to drift cars behind the scenes with no CGI involved! There’s definitely your fair share of CGI moments in John Wick, but I was pleased to find out that a fair amount of it is good old practical stunt work. Pretty intense! They’ve got Jackson Spidell doing falls from major heights and actually slamming to the ground more realistically than he would’ve liked. He actually had the crew on set pretty worried about his well-being after that. There’s also the intense motorcycle fight that was inspired by a scene in the action film “The Villainess.” Director, Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves both loved the action element of that scene, so they wanted to try and recreate it for John Wick. It proved to be a lot more difficult than anyone on set could have imagined that day. Stunt performer Joe Dryden also had his work cut out for him sliding down the middle of the road with a motorcycle nine times. He said that chase scene was one of the most difficult performances he’s ever done in his entire career. The vibes behind the scenes of this film franchise will have you floored with how much hard work, creativity, incredible stunt work, and long hours of training goes into it. Stick around, leave a comment, and let me know what your favorite John Wick moment is!
