Odd but novel strategy game in which you control up to 5 characters at once-- all moving in the SAME direction-- with one joystick! Your goal is to merge together 2 of your characters at a time by completely colliding them into each other; the game is a bit picky on this. When two are merged into one, the resulting character is a bit bigger and faster than the others. Now you must merge this larger character with another to form a white creature-- this can turn the tables on the 2 monsters that prowl the maze, looking for your characters to kill. If they take one or two, it's not a total loss-- you can still merge into a white creature to menace them in turn. But once you are the white creature, the other miniature character(s) are not safe! In fact, losing one of them can mean your death! (The game's logic is a bit weird in this respect.) Your ability to catch the monsters with the white creature is limited to a short amount of time, and the monsters immediately respawn. Once you merge with the final character, something new happens; the monsters now will split into 2 small monsters apiece and make a break for the edges of the screen (where they will escape), and will be worth double points for each successive mini-monster caught. A "peep" sound will indicate a monster is close to one of your characters and a "crash" sound indicates one was killed. Again; don't despair if one or two is lost. Good strategies for combining your characters include a vertical shaft-- you can move a character into the top floor/bottom floor and the 2nd character above/below will easily merge that way (providing no monster is hot on your tail), and also finding a corner in a maze wall to press a character into; the second character hopefully above and away from it can move towards that corner and merge. Successive kills of monsters and mini-monsters are good sources of points, as are nabbing the bonus prizes that appear near the center of the screen. Odd little maze game but with admittedly novel strategy. Suggested by YouTube user Josh Steinhauser.
