Beautiful vertically scrolling shmup; but alas, there are several moments of "bullet hell" within (though not as bad as, say, ARMED POLICE BATRIDER or ESP.RA.DE or others). Pilot either the "Mosquito 1" or the Mosquito 2" (or both in 2 player simultaneous play) and take down enemy spaceships and boss ships. Your ships have some cool abilities-- if you opt for regular fire, repeatedly press the fire button.. but if you want a stronger short blast, give it a second or two before you fire again. You will release the "Piercing Cannon" which is stronger and can really take out some enemies quicker. Also, you can charge a shot (once your charge meter at the bottom left is full and ready); this when released early before the meter can charge fully makes a black hole that sucks all the enemy bullets up! But.. if you let the charge go ALL THE WAY, until the game FORCES you to release it, you will deal some SERIOUS damage to all the enemies or even the boss! One other thing I like about the game is that you can run smack dab into any enemy and not take any damage or die! You go right on through! However, the bullet hell aspect kind of negates this positive. I recommend the Mosquito 2-- it's faster and stronger overall. Note that most enemies you waste drop gold cubes; this is your ticket to upgrading your firepower and they are considered experience points. Collect a certain amount to go up one level (and you can go up to the 8th level maximum). Collecting multiple cubes in a row with no more than 2 seconds between continues to increase the amount of XP you get for each successive cube! That's good, since the amount needed to increase a level gets insanely high. The bullet hell moments plus the lack of bells and whistles (in terms of presentation and dull story) kind of makes me pass on this title-- plus; I'm not patient or good enough for bullet hell shmups. Good graphics and I like the charge system, though. Suggested by YouTube user Quuhod.
