However in this video she encounters a man who has her stumped onnthe issue of polygamy. The man has 7 wives but he does not have a marriage license with any of them. As a result although Judge Judy questions the man on the ethical and legal aspects of his relationship, the man stated that because he has no marriage license with his 7 wives, what he is doing is no different then men who have mistresses. This case becomes interesting because if we are to punish this man for having 7 wives without a marriage license, we have to reexamine all relationships where a man has a mistress which is not against the law. Issues of polygamy is usually frowned upon in western society but what this video is revealing is that many people may be partaking in polygamous relationships without even realizing it.
