played on desmume (emulator).

the route utilizes multiple instances of RNG manipulation in order to get an ideal weather sequence and grow 500+ turnips without having to tend to them, as IoH marriage requires quite a lot of money for various town/house upgrades. the manip is done through changing the internal clock, which is much easier and faster on emulator than on console, so emu has a definite unfair advantage in this category, but this is so far the only completed run.

the first week of weather is set in stone upon selecting "new game", so by setting the internal clock and backing in and out of the title screen a few (7) times, i adjust the seed to give me the correct first week of weather (spring 3 to 9). as for the second week (spring 11 to 17), RNG randomly advances due to NPC movements and the determination of forageable placement upon sleeping, and weather is determined a week in advance. so in order to set the RNG precisely, i pick the same forageables every time (whose placement is also the same every time due to the manip) and clear and plant the field exactly the same every time (at least for the first round of planting). then i save and manip before sleeping on spring 3, 4, and 5, and because RNG doesn't advance inside the house, then when i sleep from spring 5 to 11, the weather set for spring 11 to 17 will be the same every time. the manips i used are far from optimized, but this is just a proof of concept.
