Julian, CA // Food Adventures at Apple Alley Bakery, Heroes, and Julian Hard Cider // Wanderlust
22It's been awhile now that I've been wanting to visit Julian, CA to try out different apple pies. When I found out that they have craft apple ciders to taste, I made it finally happen! What better place to go on a food adventure right now then Julian, California?! Lunch stop was at Heroes ( about a 45 minute wait when we wait- most likely due to limited seating in the patio), boysenberry apple pie and sugar-free apple pie with cinnamon ice cream indulging was at Apple Alley Bakery, and apple cider purchasing was at Julian Hard Cider. The Razzmatazz had good reviews on Yelp, so I made it a point to try some!
Because they weren't offering tastings on this trip due to COVID-19 precautions, I didn't get to try all the other flavors, so I'm going to have to make another trip to the bar when they start serving cider tastings again! Located in San Diego County (about an hour away from San Diego, CA), this gem is the perfect day getaway for many Southern California residents.
If lockdown is not strict in the winter, I will probably drive back up to Julian to enjoy the landscapes when there's snow =)
