Jump (For My Love) Flute Cover (The Pointer Sisters)
Flute Cover of Jump (For My Love) by The Pointer Sisters. Composed by Marti Sharron, Gary Skardina, and Stephen Mitchell. Cover arranged, performed and produced by Claire Holdich.
The third single from their tenth studio album Break Out released in 1983, Jump (For My Love) hit the Top Ten in Billboard's Hot 100, R&B and dance charts, and it was the best-selling American dance single of 1984 and the group went on to be awarded the 1985 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song.
In 2003, British girl group Girls Aloud covered "Jump" for the soundtrack to the romantic comedy film Love Actually although ultimately it was not used in the movie and the original was used instead. Who can forget Hugh Grant shimmying down the stairs of number 10 Downing Street?!
