The Nutcracker, originally a two act ballet with a score by Tchaikovsky was not a sucess when produced in 1892, however the 20 minute suite which Tchaikovsky put togehter using music from the ballet was an instant hit. The ballet itself has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960s and is now performed by countless ballet companies, primarily during the Christmas season.
This cover combines two of the most recognisable parts of the suite, the Dance of the Sugar Plum fairy and the Russian Dance together with a healthy sprinkling of rock flute for good measure! And if you've ever wondered what it would be like to be inside a snow globe you might just find out as you watch (and perhaps meet someone you recognise along the way?!)
