⭐Jurassic World 4's Perfect Director Is Clear Based On $638 Million Franchise & New 2024 Movie ⭐
0Jurassic World 4 needs a new director, but the obvious candidate's name has yet to be linked to it. After Jurassic World Dominion closed out the second trilogy in the franchise, it was believed the series would be taking an extended break. That hasn't proven to be the case, as Universal plans to have Jurassic World 4 in theaters by summer 2025 - a mere three years on from Dominion. Plot details are being kept a secret, though no cast members from previous movies are expected to return.
One exciting element about the upcoming Jurassic World 4 is screenwriter David Koepp will return once again, after penning the first two entries. Bullet Train and The Fall Guy director David Leitch was briefly attached to helm the next movie, but after a vocal backlash from franchise devotees, Leitch dropped out due to "creative differences." With less than two years before Jurassic World 4's planned release date, Universal will need to move fast to secure a director who can deliver the film within that timeframe.
The backlash to Leitch's exceedingly short time on the next Jurassic Park movie was partly down to his previous credits. The former second unit director has an obvious flair for action and big setpieces, but there's little in his work thus far to suggest he could nail the franchise's unique blend of emotion and horror.
A perfect director for Jurassic World 4 would be John Krasinski, whose Quiet Place movies feel way more in line with the original Spielberg films than the later sequels ever did.
Of course, there wasn't much in Krasinski's work before A Quiet Place to suggest he would be a natural director of suspense either. Nevertheless, his two entries in the series are a skillful blend of great character work, visual storytelling and nail-biting sequences. He made viewers invest in the plight of the Abbott family - with very little dialogue, to boot - and made the creatures that stalk them terrifying; this is the exact mixture Jurassic World 4 needs.
