Just how many writes can a modern flash drive sustain? (Introducing Project Flashburn)
Introducing a new project(That I've decided to call flashburn based on it's goal) prompted by a question someone asked me after apparently writing a flash drive to death, just how many writes is too many? I picked up a 5 pack of 32gb MicroCenter flash drives and setup a test to see just how much they can handle with a variety of different data patterns involved. Hopefully this works out to be a weekly segment with each run taking 72 hours to complete
