Kaijuu Monogatari (NES) – [Part 15] - - Fat Badger's Castle - The Outer Area's
1Well. here we are at last at the Final landmass and like the man in the cave warned you, the enemies ahead are the strongest you ever faced, and boy was he not kidding. I have not even made it into the castle proper yet and at level 15 with all my party, I was getting absolutely slaughtered. I could not even hardly contend against a single battle enough to even make it to the free INN. I seriously had to contemplate what is wrong here and I went back to the drawing board.
I found out there are some very useful spells learned at higher lvls that will tremendously help me out like the Barrier spell that you obtain at level 17 which is like a protect all spell that cuts down the damage for all party members. Additionally, there is a cure max spell and lastly an invisible spell that renders Kupikupi impervious to attacks. The other spells were pretty useless such as the Miracle Warp which is said to do tremendous damage to all enemies on screen, but my characters alone could output more attack damage in the long run, so I found it to be pointless. There is one other VERY important spell to obtain that allows you to revive a character learned at lvl 21 if you can manage to grind for that long but its well worth it. With the only way to revive during battle other then the Calico Fruits.
So, its highly recommended, if you started here at around lvl 15, you may need to do some grinding and get your characters to at least lvl 20 and learn most of the games magic. A good grinding area is right outside Stogg and the lower parts of the forest. Once you get strong enough, then go grind in the Volcanic area. It’s also not a bad idea to stock up on tents, Fruits and Lucky Bells which cause instant death. With all that being said, I finally felt confidence that I was ready to tackle Fat Badgers Domain. The Next video will most likely be the last. We will be entering the deeper levels of Fat Badger's Castle and finally take on Fat Badger him self.
