KAPIA Demo - Play as a Small Girl and Her Grandfather in this Post-Apocalyptic Point-and-Click Game
9A playthrough of the demo for KAPIA, a point-and-click adventure game where the world has fallen apart from war. The player sees the post-apocalyptic world through the eyes of Stefan and his granddaughter Reny in trying to end the conflict. It has more of a retro feel that draws inspiration from older adventure games like Grim Fandango.
It reminds me a bit of ENCODYA from last year, though some of the animations and dialogue feel a bit off. You also don't really get told what Stefan was doing with the message he returned with or that a traitor is after him except through some dialogues. There were also a mild glitch with the robot helmet in Reny's section that required rebooting the demo (I redid Reny's segment as a result).
So it's another on the fence kind of game for me though I wish them the best in finishing the game (I did back it on Kickstarter to give the benefit of the doubt).
