Nyanroo the Supercat Demo - Save the World from Villainous Dogs in this Retro 2D Platformer!
66A full playthrough of the demo for Nyanroo the Supercat (timestamps below), where an ordinary cat gains super powers from a magic cloth only be hunted by villainous dogs who want to use said cloth to take over the world. Nyanroo is a 2D platformer that draws inspiration from a number of 16-bit era games (it kind of reminds me of games like The Lion King and Bubsy for the SNES, but a number of games fit the bill), with mechanics like a pogo bounce and a purchasable upgrade to double jump after striking an enemy (like in The Messenger), plus a temporary ability to fly with yawn power-ups.
Each stage has a hero challenge for extra points but also unlocks a fourth stage if all of them are completed. Stages can be replayed to attempt these challenges. The second stage seems to have a glitch with the hero challenge - I walked by one garbage bag in this playthrough and still got credit (on a subsequent attempt I did find them all and the bag I skipped was the final one).
