Pros of the Kasa Outdoor Smart Plug:
- Using the Kasa Smart app you can control the Kasa Outdoor Smart Plug from anywhere in the world.
- Takes less than 5 minutes to setup and you only need a cellphone or tablet. Compatible with iPhone and Android.
- Great build quality. The plastic on the Kasa Outdoor Smart Plug seems of high quality. I have been testing the KP400 for 2 months outdoors with no issues. It does great in strong rain storms.
- Away mode, which allows for the light to turn on and off at semi random times to make it look like someone is home.
- The ability to turn on or off the outdoor smart plug based on sunrise or sunset. I use this to ensure my outdoor pond water pump turns off about 50 minutes after sunset to prevent the growth of mosquitos.
- Two plugs that can be control individually.
- The plug has 3 prongs which means it is compatible with more devices that require a ground prong on the plug.
- 300 foot wifi range means it can be a good ways from your house or wifi network and still work.
