Kattobi Tune, released by Genki for the Sony Playstation on April 23, 1998, is a racing RPG. Though it is not directly part of the Shutokō Battle series, a majority of the characters from this game also appear in the rebooted series.

The advantage of this game is that players can compete by using in-game money to upgrade their cars to make them more powerful. There are also sponsors supporting the game. The game is an RPG like the Zero 4 Champ Series. There are assets such as gears, steering wheels, and brakes. This game is a closed circuit. However, the disadvantage of this game is that the game is in Japanese. The game progression is very confusing because the game progresses in RPG style. The reason I didn't play Career mode is because I was confused by the RPG-like story mode and I can't read Japanese. There are too few cars in this game. Most of the cars are JDM. You can only customize the cars by upgrading them to make them more powerful. The driving physics are not very good. If you don't drive well, the car will lose control and spin. If you drive off the road, the car will slow down This game's UI system is not very good. The button UI is very messed up. If you force yourself to press it too quickly, you will be able to skip it.

As for the car I use, the Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 is because it replaces the Honda NSX that is locked and I don't play the story mode because I find the RPG story difficult to progress through. The game is in Japanese and I can't read Japanese, so I use the Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 because it's my second favorite JDM car. I like it after the Honda NSX. The Nissan Skyline GT-R has an RB26 engine and the sound is fierce and exciting. The Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 is the car in the game Kattobi Tune. I like it second after the Honda NSX.
