Tokyo Xtream Racer Drift 1 Gameplay By First Werawat
Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift (known as Kaidō Battle: Nikko, Haruna, Rokko, Hakone in Japan) is the third racing game published by Crave Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It is the fourth main installment in Shutokō Battle series. The game allows racing at both day and night. Daytime offers the opportunity to enter competitions and gain money, while night time is where the player can race against rivals to gain respect.
Gameplay
Story
The player controls Hiroki Koukami, a Wanderer driver. He is able to defeat every rival and challenges every leader, called a "Slasher", from Hakone, Haruna, Nikko, Omote Rokko and Irohazaka. After he beats "Speed King", Iroha's Uphill's Slasher, he challenges Hamagaki, aka Kaido President, who drives a yellow Pantera GTS (a black Acura NSX in the US version) and holds the title of "Drift King". After Koukami defeats him, he takes his title, becoming the new Drift King, while Hamagaki loses it and is demoted to Trickster.
The game is set between Zero and 3, according to the Japanese series timeline.
Cars
The game includes Japanese and imported foreign cars. The foreign cars included are Alfa Romeo, Mini, Lotus, DeTomaso, and Volkswagen, depending on the version. Honda was licensed in this game (with some cars localized as Acura models in the US version) but was not available in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 due to licensing issues. Ford, Lotus, and DeTomaso were removed in the 2006 US release, and Alfa Romeo and Audi from Kaido Battle 2: Chain Reaction were added in, even though Kaido Battle 2 never had a North American release.
The advantage of this game is that players can compete in SP DP mountain racing like in the Initial D cartoon. The atmosphere is similar to the Initial D cartoon. Players can challenge races in various events and compete with other competitors. Most of the cars in the game are Japanese and European cars. Players can collect money to buy and sell cars, upgrade cars, and customize cars. They can also challenge their competitors' cars. However, the disadvantage of this game is that Category Race requires a ticket to compete. The driving physics are not very good and you must choose the right tires for the road surface. Car customization: This game cannot customize the car's livery. Custom Car Color cannot be used. This game can only customize some car models. The car's engine sound does not match the car model. The engine sound depends mostly on the engine block used. There is no nitrous system in the game.
As for the car I use, I use the Honda NSX because it's my number 1 dream car. It's a car that I really like and love. Someday in the future, I must own one in Thailand in real life before I die. But I don't play Career mode because the game content is complicated for me. Career mode is a bit difficult to play. I apologize. So I play Category Race Time Attack and CA Attack modes instead. In Category Race mode, I choose the Honda NSX for both NA1 and NA2 because the Honda NSX is a car that I really like and love. It's my number 1 dream car. And the Honda NSX is my favorite car in the game Tokyo Xtream Racer Drift 1.
