Kenai Fjords Boat Ride: 6 Hours in 12 Minutes - Rear-View
The best way to experience Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska is to take a boat ride out of Seward. I took the six-hour cruise to Aialik Glacier in late May, 2016, and with the permission of the excellent crew at Kenai Fjords Tours, mounted two Brinno time-lapse cameras to the ship, to record the entire journey.
This video shows the rear-view of the entire trip, captured at 1 frame per second. As you'll see, there were some very rough spots. Before we embarked, we were warned of rough seas in the open-water portions of the trip. "Rough" was accurate -- the waves were 10-12 feet!
