Kerbal Space Program - Apollo-J Moon Mission in RSS
By request, a montage of one of my moon missions in KSP.
Based on the Apollo-J (15-17) missions.
Mods:
Without listing over a hundred here, I'll just give the notable ones.
FASA for the Saturn V fuel tanks, the CSM and LEM
Munar Rover Wheels for those awesome titanium mesh wheels on the LRV.
Infernal Robotics for the folding action.
Procedural Fairings for pretty much every fairing.
Realism Mods:
Real-Scale Solar System
Realism Overhaul to rescale a lot of the parts.
RSS: Visual Enhancements
FAR, Deadly Reentry, TAC Life Support
Real Fuels
Engine Ignitor (limits ignitions, the real LEM did a constant burn from orbit to the surface)
More mods are used here, but they're small things like engines, antennas, and cosmetic parts on the rover and spacecraft.
If you want to play with the awesome-looking Saturn V and Apollo hardware without all the headache of getting them to work perfectly in RSS, I suggest just installing FASA and playing around in stock for a start. Cheers!
