The challenge description:

"The KSA Planetary Defence division is worried about potential collisions between large asteroids and Kerbin. It wishes to study the effects of high velocity impacts on asteroids for the purposes of diverting them away from Kerbin. Your mission is to propel a craft up to the highest speed possible and crash it into Gilly so that the impact can be studied.
"Hard Mode: Crash a craft into Gilly at more than 60km/s
"Bonus Mode: Complete either Normal Mode or Hard Mode with a launch mass of less than 10 tons"

Also, for this challenge, no ions are allowed, and the use of physics warp to increase decoupler force is also not allowed.
