A 5.2 ton technically-a-spaceplane lands our Kerbal on all five of Jool's moons and returns safely to Kerbin.

The craft's mass on the runway is 5208 kg without pilot, so the total mass including the kerbal is 5253 kg. This is a pretty big improvement over the 5.8 ton previous record. Most of it is in the Laythe and Tylo landers, which were both significantly redesigned.

I had an entire tank of xenon which went completely unused, which is encouraging to anyone who wants to beat this record. Also, the Tylo lander can be improved by over 100 kg with more usage of EVA construction.
