Kessen III - The Great Battle of Hakata (2 of 2)
I improved the previous version of this by 12 minutes. It's not flawless by any means, but it is certainly a lot faster this time. Keep in mind that this is a "mock run," meaning that I did not aim for perfection. If you don't like this video for whatever reason, make sure your criticism is constructive. I am open to new ideas and I know that this isn't a shining example of good gameplay, but if your comment consists of nothing but "this run sucks," then I will delete it. Please be civilized about this, that's all I ask.\n\nAs for the video, there is a lot more close range combat going on. You won't see any ninjitsu use here, so that may come as a relief. I know of a rather good way to finish this battle even faster, but the difficulty involved is greater than my motivation to do it. For those who are familiar with the map/game, the plan is simple:\n\n1. Defeat Murashige Araki, Motoyasu Chosokabe, and Yoshiro Shimazu.\n\n2. Leave your two reinforcement units near the area where this video begins (hope that they are in good shape).\n\n3. Use Nobunaga Oda to lure Mitsuhide Akechi toward the narrow dead end that is directly to the right (according to the map) of where your reinforcements are.\n\n4. As he closes in on Nobunaga, have your reinforcements rush in from behind. The idea is for them to distract the rifle squad for as long as possible (which usually isn't long, hence some of the difficulty).\n\nIf you can get this set up properly, you can pin Mitsuhide to the wall and pound on him one-on-one. All you really need to do then is show off your fighting skills, because one shot from his group will seriously hurt your cavalry. I think I've even seen 600 damage per hit once, or darn close to it.\n\nAnyway, please don't take offense to what I said about the comments. I'm slightly bitter about recent ratings, but my point still stands. If you have a suggestion for how to improve anything in this mock run, please share it. I likely won't redo any of the older videos, but I would like input on some of the things I screwed up on.
