This is video #166 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. On Day 355, "Unsaid, Unheard," Roxas finally decides to confront Axel about who and what he and Xion are and what their relationship is to Sora. In terms of story, this seems to be a point of no return for Roxas. At the end of this mission, he will never return to the Grey Area. However, when he reaches Twilight Town, Roxas will be able to set up his Panels, do Holo-Missions, and use the Moogle Shop like he can in the Grey Area, so don't be too concerned.

Axel is the only other Organization member present in the Grey Area this morning. When Roxas chooses to confront him, it automatically begins Mission 91, even though no mission information comes up. In the scene, Axel is evasive when Roxas asks about himself, Xion, and Sora. Since Axel will not give him a straight answer, Roxas decides to leave the Castle that Never Was to search for answers. Unfortunately, the Organization will not let him go without a fight.

Roxas begins his escape on the second floor of the Hall of Empty Melodies. In the next area, Naught's Skyway, he can collect an Ordeal Badge in the air near the entrance. He will encounter Dusks in this area, but they are nowhere near as hard as they were in the training missions. Down near the exit, there is an Ordeal Blazon very high in the air. Roxas can only grab it by gliding to it.

The next area is the first floor of the Hall of Empty Melodies. More Dusks are here. There are also two chests: one with an Aerora Recipe and the other with a Thundara Recipe. The Unity Badge is in the air near the northern exit. That's it for the treasures and badges in this "mission."

The next area is Twilight's View. After going downstairs, Roxas will arrive in the Crooked Ascension, an elevator that will take him down to the lower level of the Castle.

In Nothing's Call, Roxas will encounter some Samurais. Although they are his minion Nobodies, they will bar his exit. They are not too hard, but they do not drop any items.

When he reaches the southern exit, which leads out of the Castle, Roxas encounters Saïx. Apparently, Organization XIII does not accept resignations. Saïx is going to try to prevent Roxas from leaving. This Nobody has got some mean moves with his claymore. Saïx begins the fight in berserk mode. He is very dangerous in this mode. One of his attacks is to jump to one of the platforms on a higher floor and then jump down and do a couple of attacks. One is to land on the ground with a shockwave; the other is to jump towards Roxas and attack with his claymore. His next berserk attack is to swing his weapon a couple of times and end with a spinning strike. There is very little time to strike him after this attack. His finall attack, starting with a yell, is to rush towards Roxas and do a long combo. At the end of this attack, he may throw his claymore into the ground, which creates a circular shockwave. Partway through this attack, he may transition to another attack. If he does throw his claymore into the ground, Roxas will have time for a full combo.

After Saïx has taken enough damage, he will leave berserk mode. He does a lot less damage during his normal mode, but do not get careless. He has a jump attack which can be evaded with a dodge roll. He can yell and fire a shockwave straight ahead. Finally, he will move towards Roxas and do a three-swing combo. When Roxas attacks, Saïx may also block the attacks with his claymore, so watch out.

After a time, Saïx will return to berserk mode with a roar. He will stay in place long enough for a combo before he starts swinging madly again. He will bet weaker as the battle progresses. Fortunately, this battle is not as hard as Sora's battle against Saïx in Kingdom Hearts II.

After Roxas deals the final blow, Saïx nearly collapses. Roxas leaves the Castle.

Out in the Dark City, there is a scene between Roxas and Axel.

There are no regular rewards for this mission. However, there are some good random rewards: a Thundara Recipe, an Aerora Recipe, and a Megalixir Recipe.

The next day is Day 356, "Place to Belong." This is just a day of scenes. The day opens with scenes involving Naminé, Xion, DiZ, Axel, and Xemnas. There's just something I don't like about Xemnas.

The next day is Day 357, "Tears." The day opens with Roxas watching Hayner, Pence, and Olette goofing off. We regain control of Roxas in the Sandlot.

At the Station Plaza, Roxas will be able to access his Panels, Holo-Missions, and the Moogle Shop like he could in the Grey Area. I love the Moogle's line that Roxas's money will always have a place in his pocket. ;-)

When Roxas passes through the glass doors of the train station, it will be the point of no return, so to speak, as he will face the game's final bosses.
