KH3 - Data Master Xehanort but the floor is lava...
0...for the most part. Both of his DMs reset Sora to the ground, but for every other moment, I stay in the air. Regarding this run, it was actually surprisingly easier in the air than on the ground IMO. The big contributing factor to this is glide being so fast that I don't have to worry about getting hit by some of his attacks. That said, manipulating the camera was also key for this fight.
Starting from the beginning, the keyblade throw is easier to deal with thanks to Sora's faster movement so getting the critical counter off on that wasn't that bad.
Similarly, the first DM with the cycle things also isn't too bad to dodge, but in order to get MX into a good position, I had to move the camera a bit to the left side. I still borked it in the video though since he ends up next to the light pillar. When he starts using it in the normal arena though, I like to glide to the left and get most of the arena in sight since if I'm looking straight ahead, MX will instead teleport in front of me and throw another cycle that I usually get hit by.
For the set of lasers, I was kinda concerned about how many lasers show up and bumping into them, but by gliding on the edge of the screen, you don't have to deal with that. After that, since he follows you into the air, most of his openings are still available fortunately. The only opening I lose out on is the attack with the massive cannons since he stays on the ground and I don't want to lose my height. That said, the cannons are easy to dodge with glide and it looks pretty cool seeing the cannons attempting to blast you in the air IMO.
Moving on to the second DM, fortunately it's actually possible to dodge the entire thing in the air though I had to be a bit creative and it's still quite hard. I fumble it in my successful run but at 3:18, you can see me attack right after dodging the first set of lasers; that's actually intentional. Because the lag from the air slide normally gets me nailed by the subsequent cannon, I can bypass it by doing a quick attack and then reacting out of it immediately to dodge the next attack from the dark clones.
