I feel like a total goblin for just spamming balloonra on Xemnas, but he's just so unfun to try and get a good honest clean fight against. If counters did any damage at all, that would be like the only half decent way of fighting him thats intuitive and fun, but even then he can just teleport into something stupid to screw you over. There is good ways to fight him legit that work consistently, but its all just so unfun, there is interesting and skillful things to do with that fight, but I just dont find it fun at all. I'm dissapointed neither of my playthroughs resulted in a half decent fight against that boss, I like to think that for every game I've played and recorded at least one of my playthroughs has a half decent fight with any given boss that shows that if nothing else I understood the fundamentals of the fight even if I wasnt great at it, but with KH3D Xemnas all my fights with him are just sloppy and terrible and tbh I just dont care enough to change that.
