Kid Chameleon 2 - First Attempt!
67Hey all! Today I present to you my first ever attempt and reactions to playing Kid Chameleon 2 (KC2).
KC2 is an unfinished project developed by Tyadran, whose main goal was to make a totally awesome, epic, and well-deserved sequel to the original Kid Chameleon. Another goal, which is already clearly evident is to make it much harder than he original, as well. As of right now, very few levels, up to Hills of the Warrior I have been edited, so this is pretty much all you're going to see for now with KC2. As I said in the video, Tyadran has put this project on hold, and is focused primarily on the development of KCX, which has been widely successful thus far. Whether or not Tyadran will decide to continue with this project is not for me to say, but it is still enjoyable, regardless of how much has been finished. All credits go to Tyadran for the creation of this game, as well as any other individuals who designed the programs he utilized to make this possible (K-E, KidTool, XVI32, LunarIPS, whatever emulator and ROM he uses, original KC developers, etc.)
Since KC2 has not been touched by Tyadran in a while, there are some edits in KCX that are clearly absent here, such as color palette and enemy changes. But I don't blame him, because this is like a pioneering project, made before anybody on the wiki knew how to do any of that. I will have to say, though, it has its share of difficult spots, such as like EVERY FREAKIN' SPACE in Under Skull Mountain III XD Those platforms are quite dangerous, so watch out!! Also, I was lucky to complete the apparently unfinished Hills of the Warrior I level, because of the Big Hopping Skull, which I thought was cool XD So yeah, and beyond that, you can simply just play the game in its normal, un-edited state.
