Please note that time starts on the exact frame to which the menu goes to black, and ends on the exact frame to which the towel is thrown down the chute to end the game. The time in the video is incorrect because I started it way too late, according to these rules.

My goal for this speedrun was to get a world record under 20:30, and it wasn't quite that easy getting it down to there. Throughout the game, you constantly have to cut corners and cycle through menus to perform certain actions. Along with speed, you must also be accurate in your selections. The big time killer in this speedrun is making small mistakes while navigating through the menus, because sooner or later, you're going to press the wrong button by accident, which could ultimately lead you to losing a few seconds.

In regard to the four lab doors you must go through in Chapter 3, the fourth lab door you're supposed to enter is also the second one that the CPU enters for you. That's seriously it. Don't even listen to that kid playing Pong in the mansion because you will notice that the second and fourth numbers he says are always identical.

I actually made a few time-costly mistakes during this run, but I could not improve this run in any way. Why is that? Because I got extremely lucky with those four lab doors. Since the combinations of the doors you enter are totally RNG-based, this part is all luck when it comes to time. Through both sequences, the CPU put me through rather short routes to walk between the doors, and most importantly, the third door I exited was also the same door I had to enter the fourth time, so all I had to do was tap the up button! Getting lucky like that is one of the best time-saving techniques in this game. The chances of getting that both times are 1 in 16, so making an improvement to this run would be very hard.
