A quick kill. Deaths edited out. Dont mind the characters morphing into other characters at the beginning of fights. I decided to edit out character selection screens from when I died to keep the video faster paced, since all the successful gameplay is preserved.

I switch characters often to find weaknesses and exploit the AI to beat these games. This game took just under an hour. Mainly the last boss took some tries. He blocks just about everything and can regenerate health. He can be cheap but not as cheap as some bosses in these games.

While I got decent at the latest Killer Instinct for Xbox One (see videos on my channel), I havent played the older ones in years. So I was just going by feel. With Sabrewulf I was atleast able to get in short combos, using a jump attack to lead into them on the boss. He would often do this long howl that seemed random as fuck and lead to alot of my deaths. Probably my unfamiliarity with the controls of this game, but it was odd since I was pressing the same buttons to combo with.

I found it best to use a jump punch on the final boss to start combos, then alternate two of the punch attacks. Meaning punch attack, punch attack 2, punch attack, punch attack 2 until he got out of the combo. I did this very agressively and relentlessly with sabrewulf and after a good amount of tries it worked. Sometimes he destroys me doing that so there is some luck involved with that method, but it worked.

Whenever I tried to start a combo from the ground I usually got punished as he blocked it and did heavy damage to me if I was unable to jump and punch him in midair again to start the next combo. This happened if I tried to start a combo with a rushing special attack or just alternating punch buttons when I was close to him. I would risk this sometimes but I did best when I only proceeded with the combo I mentioned, when I landed the initial jump punch. This would open him up for the short combo. Sometimes he would get caught in this short combo several times for massive damage. Once he got out I would usually start with jump punching again to begin the next combo. Rinse and repeat. This combo works on most of the other opponents as well and you can start it up with the charge attacks. With the final boss the jump punch method worked better for me.

Stay tuned !!
