King Dice Low Roller S Rank Without Jumping
After the hell that was Souped Up Devil Lobber Only, it's time we finally decide to revisit Vanilla Cuphead... and then I've thought of something... almost a year ago I S Ranked KD without jumping and I wanted to revisit it with a twist... I wanted to see if I can S Rank KD but I have to do all 9 mini bosses without jumping.
... it was definitely something, I spent hours on it, compared to being able to just beating him (Which literally only took one try), this was something else if we do all 9 mini bosses.
Tipsy Troop: They aren't bad, but they can definitely hit you before you can get an EX on time and even if you do it's really bad if Ol'Ethan and Rumulus attacks at the same time because that gives you little to no time to get that Crackshot EX out and parry it, either way if you get hit on them just restart.
Chips Bettigan: He's really easy, just crouch and invisibility roll when that bottom chip is about to hit you, nothing special about him, just focus on that bottom chip.
Wheezy: He's definitely one of the toughest ones, but I think it's mainly just RNG, unfortunately you can't simply dash from the tray your on to the other one and since you can't jump you are forced to do a Crackshot EX, dash parry the EX and dash again to get to the other tray, this can be bad if you have bad RNG regarding the Cigarettes and Wheezy himself isn't good either because he can teleport from one tray to the other, he's especially bad if he shoots the flames that go down, to dodge just simply stay at the back and just time your walks, if the flames go up then that's good because if they go up you can simply stay at the edge and fire, can't do this if they go down so like I said if up stay on the edge, if down move to the back and time your walks to the edge properly.
Pip and Dot: They're definitely the toughest mini boss here because it can go wrong many ways, for starters it sucks on how much Crackshot EX's you have to use because of the ground, it's tough because in some areas there are two spikes beside eachother, a single spike you can simply invisibility roll but you can't do that if double spiked, in order to dodge double spike you gotta Crackshot EX when on the ground, parry, EX again and dash parry again and then dash again, of course this is risky depending on where the domino is and where you are because you can sometimes dash into Pip and Dot if not careful, domino bird is annoying but isn't a big deal, just simply kill it before it gets to you.
Hopus Pocus: This mini boss generally sucks for Chalice due to her dash parry which can be very hard to parry the heart when he does the card suits attack, in order to dodge the attack you simply just have to invisibility roll when it's going down or perfectly time your dash when it's going up but since jumping is banned you have to time your rolls when at the bottom too which is even tougher, skull attacks are fine but the card suits attack it depends if they're going up or down, going down is easy but going up is hard.
Phear Lap: Since he's a plane boss and you can't jump on Plane bosses then ig you could say he didn't have to be done but skipping one of the mini bosses would mean it's not low roller so I decided to do him and Chimes, he isn't hard challenge wise but I generally suck at him but overall I don't have anything to say about him challenge wise because like I said he's a plane boss and you can't jump during plane bosses so I guess I just can't parry during Plane bosses in this challenge.
Pirouletta: She's in the same spot as Chips Bettigan, simply just invisibility roll when she's moving left and right or when she does the roulette ball attack, nothing to say about her.
Mangosteen: Definitely harder than Chips Bettigan and Pirouletta but I have nothing to say about him, simply just move left and right, dash/roll when needed.
Chimes: Now I did just say about Phear Lap that parrying isn't allowed and I understand if people consider it a gray area on whether I broke this rule or not for Chimes. Problem is you literally have to parry for Chimes otherwise you can't defeat him, however the way Chalice parries is by dashing and not jumping, however she parries/functions the same way the Cups do in plane levels, where dashing is shrinking and parrying is jumping so while you could argue that I technically did jump, I also didn't since Chalice parries by dashing even if she parries by jumping on plane levels, idk what to say but you literally have to "Jump" for Chimes which isn't actually jumping, especially for Chalice so I'd say it's fair.
KD: He's not bad, I did hide behind his hands in the previous attempt but I decided not to do it this time because I felt it was cheap, simply Crackshot EX, dash into it and time your dashes to parry.
I might consider to try other bosses to see if they're S Rankable without Jumping, except Rumor, she's downright impossible, idet she's beatable on Expert even if you allow the wishes which you can't even use on Expert.
