Kingdom Death: Court Investigator, unboxed and built!
43Man, talk about a delay between when I filmed this and when I finally put this up. Like I mention, the Barrister arrived the day I filmed this, but now I've got the Halloween Ringtail showing up the day I post this. Nevermind the other unloved KD boxes waiting for their moment in the spotlight... hell, Black Friday is right around the corner, and I keep forgetting that I've got an Echoes of Death II from a ways back still in the shrinkwrap! Someday, maybe I'll even get to the original Pinups of Death box I still HAVEN'T built.
The Court Investigator is part of the subline of "generic" character class models, being the Kingdom Death take on traditional (or pretty unconventional) tabletop RPG classes.
Despite the super thin wand (which I already broke since filming), she's a pretty solid build. I'll have to double check what the deal is with the hands inside of her cloak. no idea how to color them either.
She is definitely part of an ongoing trend towards better dressed Kingdom Death models. If anything the overtly curvaceous types seem to be a bit on the decline, which is fine, as it gives the line some much needed variety. Heck, we even have a few male figures released as of late!
She makes a pretty sharp dressed mage though! Perhaps it's time I resurrected my Frostgrave Death warband. This model would make a great mage to lead all the grunts!
I wonder how many of these I'll be able to finish up before the wave of pinups arrive...
