Games Workshop- A close look at the Scions of Flame for WarCry!
79Got lucky and found this set for a somewhat reasonable price.
Glad I did, as I'd been eager to get them since they first debuted. Loved the samurai looking leaders of the warband.
Now that I have them in hand and built, I can safely say it was worth it- for me. The whole catacomb set? If they'd priced it at least 60 to 100 dollars less, I'd have been in heaven. Would've been a great deal, but nope, GW had to fly too close to the sun for my tastes. I fear for how much they'll want when these are released on their own as well...
But back to the models. I feel they're all good poses for the most part, with the priest being a bit of a dud for me. Don't care for the angle of the flame they're spitting. It's a bit too stiff and straight, especially compared to all the flames leaping off the weapons (or the Immolator's body). The champions are both quite impressive and probably going to be the first pieces I finish.
I guess once I've got all these warbands done, it's finally time to paint the terrain!
