Organization XIII - Saïx (The Luna Diviner)

The fight always starts with Saïx open for a combo. Right at the beginning, and for the rest of the fight, follow this very strict pattern when Saïx is not berserk:

- Perform a full combo
- Wait for Saïx to land, and the moment he does, perform another ground combo

During that second combo, Saïx sometimes will begin to attack you. Don't worry, if you started your second combo in time with his landing, your finisher will pierce his attack and you will remain unharmed.

After two combos one of two things will happen:

- Saïx calls to the moon for power. Go back to your two ground combos!
- Saïx will say "No Escape". Everyone on youtube blocks this move with guard, but I prefer to wait until half of "escape" is spoken and cast reflect. Saïx will get hit with the splash damage and you'll come out unharmed. I try and sort of lure Saïx towards a wall for this so that he takes more damage. After the reflect bursts or your block is completed, start back up your two combos!

Keep this up until Saïx goes berserk. Stay away from him when he actually is going berserk, as the transformation will kill you at close range. This first time Saïx goes berserk he won't use his desperation attack, so don't worry.

After you hit him with a claymore he will be knocked about of berserk. Get over to him QUICKLY. As soon as he stops staggering and is standing in his normal position, guard. You will knock his claymore out of his hand and stun him. Now just return back to the ground combo strategy until he is berserk again.

This time (and from now on), when Saïx goes berserk he opens with his desperation attack. I'm terrible at avoiding this move, so advice would be welcome. I stay as far away as I can when he starts it, then I double jump glide when he nears. I try to dodge in a somewhat tight circle instead of going around the whole stage, and if I see a clear opportunity to land and re-jump/glide, I take it. The problem is sometimes Saïx starts spinning the other direction, so you are gliding INTO him. I try to turn around and go the other way FAST, but I'm sure there's a better way of handling this.

Regardless, once he finishes the move, shoot a blizzaga at him! If you don't do this part, he will often repeat his desperation attack, which is obviously annoying and risky.

After the blizzaga hits, he will go back to his normal berserk moves. That is the flow of the battle from here on out; Desperation - Berserk - Guard after stagger - Non-berserk strategy, and back to desperation. Repeat it 3-4 times for victory!
