A basic heartless that is not at difficult when dealing with a few of them, but will become sort of hard when handling up against a swarm of them. As this heartless relies upon sinking in the ground, and trying to resurface behind their foes to claw swipe them, and will sometimes do basic normal claw swipe attacks against their foes too. The way to deal with this heartless is to make sure that they don't get behind Sora too much, as at first before obtaining thunder based magic it's important to use fire based magic that works differently than in other Kingdom Hearts games instead when surrounded by a swarm of them after they resurface to destroy them and prevent damage to Sora; other than that just attack them normally when they leave themselves exposed.
New! Soldier (All Kingdom Hearts games, excluding Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage.)
A sort of hard heartless that likes to rely on claw swipe attacks, different forms of kicks, and their worst attack where they try to unleash their new aerial kick spin attack as Sora should use the Cyclone reaction command to stop this attack within its tracks, and use it whenever possible to either damage or destroy said soldier heartless. Also use any type of attacks on them, and guard when needed against their kicks to also help finish this heartless type off also.
