Barbossa is one of the harder bosses so far, his attacks are fast and deadly, if you're close for too long then he can instantly whip out his gun for unavoidable massive damage (Unless you get a fluke attack in) so you want to keep your distance, when he's walking towards you run up and slide dash him for 2 combos then pull back a bit (A 3rd combo will result in retaliation before you can get distance), if you knock him up onto a ledge then he may jump down in which you can get an air combo in on him but he won't jump twice so back off after the 1st.

Another problem with this fight is that Barbossa can sometimes attack you in the dark so be careful of this and keep your distance if you see him unless you want to risk getting hit, he's also invincible whilst in the dark areas.
