This took a good few attempts to accomplish, still strangely - being the uber optional boss of the game Seph's attacks are pretty easy to avoid compared to a few other bosses, it's just that his attacks do massive damage which is only a problem at a low level since he can 1 shot you with his 6 hit combo and fire pillars (More often than not it does), if you learn his attacks you can avoid most of them fairly easily and only get hit with the 2 above attacks on a rare occasion mainly because of cheap shots.

During his 1st 5 bars of HP combo him once then run close, a second after he back steps he'll start attacking so either block as you see him pull back his sword or just get the timing right and block a bit after he backsteps, make sure you're pretty close though, if you're too far you won't block the 1st 2 hits and will get hit from the rest, I used the Counterguard ability to attack Seph back after blocking the 1st hit, to use it then just press X but don't move, if you're moving the analog stick it doesn't work.

When he says "Know your place" after losing 4 HP bars he'll change tactics and get a bit harder, this part can kill you with cheap shots but you get used to a rough attack pattern after a bit and can have a good guess as to which attacks he'll be using, you can still get killed by his cheap shots though such as 3 balls followed by his reaction command attack, no matter what you do it hits you unless you can reflect almost instantly, leave it too late and you're dead, still if you do it too early he can start a 6 hit combo and hit you that way so it's all a matter of luck at a level like this, either way you die if you get unlucky.

During his last few HP bars is when you can easily take damage, during meteor you should get used to when it's about to end and stay on the ground at that time as Seph can use the reaction command or fly at you for a 7 hit combo, if you're in the air trying to avoid the last few meteors you'll get hit by those attacks so you need to stay on the ground and run from the meteors whilst watching Seph's actions, other than that he's pretty much the same as before, his new attack is a single hit after he flies at you, if this hits then he follows up with a 6 hit combo instantly so if you see him flying towards you block as he gets close (Not to close because he attacks as soon as he gets near you with no warning), if he does a 6 hit combo and he's not in you're face then block during the 2nd hit (I think), on his 3rd or 4th hit he'll cover ALOT of ground, that got me killed when he had half of his final bar of HP left on a previous attempt because I wasn't expecting it...

I came here straight after completing Space Paranoid for the 2nd time which is the earliest Seph appears.
