Here's a strategy I came up with that's easy to pull off and will easily get you the target points on ANY level, sometimes doubling the required amount.

I decided to do the final level since it's considered the hardest and because of that you can see how this strategy can easily work on other levels, however it's actually harder to use on certain levels, only ones without splash or chain gems because you're limited to 1 target at a time but with those levels you just activate waves slower, never do loads in a row (Do about 3 max) or you could get over run and find it hard to recover from.

This strategy will even work on the early levels without any skills however you won't be able to glowing frame them, you'll have to come back later when you have the skills but if you're stuck then you can use this strategy, I just beat the 1st epic level without any skills at all, the epic boss only got 25% of the way around the map and I didn't leak any enemies whatsoever.

To get the most of this strategy then you need to use splash, chain hit and mana drain gems, to get them then select your main gem with one of those specials and combine it into the other types, the 1st 2 gems you combine with your main will add their special properties to it, if you can't use those 3 main types then use in order: triple damage, armour reduce, shock then slow...Poison is absolutely useless so avoid it at all costs.

To do this strategy then you just keep combining 1 gem (Let's call it the "main gem") with all the others, the way I went about doing it in the harder levels is like this:
If you need to build a tower then do so and then use all your starting mana to combine your main gem (The highest grade preferably with Splash, Mana Drain or Chain Hit) into all the other strongest starting gems (Only combine your main gem with the others or it will reset range/speed and also do your 1st 2 combines with any gem with good special properties which should be the 3 I mentioned earlier even if they aren't high grade), when your mana is down activate 2-3 waves then combine into more gems with the mana from those then repeat a few more times until all starting gems are gone which should be by around wave 10, now increase your mana pool until it reaches 3k+ then save up again and use the mana to get a full 36 grade 2 gems and then once again save up mana to combine them (You should have this done by around wave 30), when they're all combined then you can just activate waves freely, if you have splash, chain hit and mana drain you can activate all the remaining waves as you can see in this vid even with exceptionally strong enemies such as that last boss...If you're using this strategy for earlier levels then you won't need to create the extra 36 grade 2's, the starting gems should be enough but you may have to build a couple extra grade 2's, you'll be able to work it out if you need to.

If you don't have all the starting gem skills maxed then you'll need to create a few extra grade 2's, if you're in the later levels then you'll probably need about an extra 15-20 along with the full 36 explained in the previous paragraph but in earlier levels you really shouldn't need that many, a gem with about 100 range/speed and 500 max damage is about good enough, just do a bit of experimenting and try keeping a mana reserve until you're safe with your choice, if you're doing levels in the same area of the game then this choice of gem will suffice for other levels close to it, if going onto more difficult levels pretty far from it then just create a couple more grade 2's, once you have all the skills I had then you can do the strategy I used explained in the last paragraph.

Some important things to note about this strategy is that you can't combine another gem into your main one or it will reset speed/range, also don't combine your main gem into a grade higher than it or it will lowen speed/range, finally there's something weird when combining grade 3 with 2's, the speed/range will randomly drop and rise so if you have a grade 3 as your main then only combine it with grade 1's.

I combined the gem into multiple shock gems at the end because the last boss seems to be weak to them, I'm not sure what else he could be weak to but I know he's strong against red.

Final Gem Stats:
Grade: 7, hue: 183
8 color components
Damage: 303-691
Splash radius: 20.4
Range: 106
Firing speed: 135
24% chance of chain hit
1.5 * 2.52 mana gain per hit

That 1 gem pwned 20 waves in a row including the dreaded last boss which can get past people over 4 times using other strategies, this one took him down in about 1/3rd of the map.

If you can't quite figure out how to do this on earlier levels since it is slightly different then let me know and I'll do another video.
