Part 3: Twilight Town
Difficulty: Proud

Time to press on! In this part, we head for Twilight Town.

Before this, we tackle the Gummi Ship section. Here you fly through space and do all sorts of activities such as battling enemies, finding munny, treasure and experience and in some cases, you face off against tough bosses. In this case it doesn’t happen here. Oh and your Gummi Ship can level up. The higher the level, the stronger your ship and you can also customize your ship.

Arriving at Twilight Town, a lot has changed. We fight against Heartless, show off the Link system and then take on the Demon Tide. The Link System is pretty much KH3’s version of the summons where an ally teams up with you to deliver strong attacks. We have Meow Wow Balloon for now but soon we’ll be getting others. As for the Demon Tide, it’s a scripted fight. Once you drain 3 bars of his health, it retreats.

Later on you encounter a small rat named Ratatouille. This character is from the 2007 Disney movie of the same name. Once you rescue him, you’ll see him later. We reach the Old Mansion and some exposition happens. Much of it is plenty of exposition but I don’t want to spoil you. Watch it for yourself.

We also meet Scrooge McDuck, who is in charge of a restaurant in Twilight Town. He asks us to find ingredients and we do so. They are found all over town. Once you get enough, we can tackle a section of the game devoted to cooking. Depending on the dish you want to make, you need to follow instructions to pull it off with an Excellent rating. Fail and you lose a chance and the cooking materials will be lost. If you succeed, you get a Dish with an Excellent rating provides a plus version. Once you make enough dishes, you need to set up so you will have a complete meal that will boost your stats.

I forgot to mention we also get access to the Gummiphone. That’s needed in order to take part in the Lucky Emblem challenge. Throughout your journey, you will find emblems in the form of Mickey mouse’s face. Find them, take a picture and that’s it. Finding them all will net you plenty of rewards.

With our time in Twilight Town up, we venture forward to new worlds. In Part 4, we go to our first stop: the Toy Box.
